Originally founded by Walter N. Propps SIOR, CPA, in 1972 as a development and brokerage company, Commercial & Industrial Real Estate, which became Commercial Brokers LLC, began as a two person firm. As demand for specialized properties increased, a construction company was added. This gave Commercial Brokers the ability to build office and warehouse properties and perform most functions in-house. Commercial Brokers represented clients better than other firms by constructing facilities to their exact specifications. After the return of Nick Propps in the late 1990's, the firm expanded further as additional properties were acquired, new team members were hired and the firms capabilites were refocused.
Some of the properties constructed or developed by Commercial Brokers include multi-tenanted flex, office and warehouse buildings, a fully refrigerated warehouse for Kolker Poultry, local headquarters for Orkin Pest Control and a 180,000+ sq. ft. paper warehouse with rail service for Parson's Paper Company.
The staff is comprised of experienced sales and leasing agents, property and asset management staff, and office personnel to support the operation. Most of our brokers have at least 15 years of experience while some have over 30. The Brokerage Team is comprised of professionals from some of the areas most well know firms including The Chevy Chase Land Company and Shannon & Luchs. Our Online Listing Database provides excellent exposure for our clients' properties and allows potential tenants to download property information immediately. We can provide floorplans, photos, virtual tours, maps and brochures. We also provide password protected client web pages on the Commercial Brokers Net which allow clients to privately review property information at their convenience.
Our team also has access to mini radio stations that can be installed in a property to provide marketing information.
